Willie Alfret Reed was born on November 27, 1939 to Willie Frank Reed and Poise Ella Mae Reed in Covington, Tennessee. He was baptized at an early age. He attended and graduated from Frazier High school in Covington, Tennessee where he played Football and Basketball. Willie’s favorite past times were fishing, gardening of fruits and vegetables, watching shoot’ em ups, (Old Western Movies and Western Television Series).
Willie enlisted in the US Army where he served for nine years and earned several Medals of various Ranks and Honors.
From his first marriage, Willie was blessed with two children, Kelly R. Reed in 1968, and Kimberly R. Reed in 1973.
As a single God fearing Christian, Willie was a member of St. Rest, Missionary Baptist Church where he was introduced to Paulette Baucham, by their then Assistant Pastor, Rev. Henry Cox. After a long loving courtship, Willie and Paulette were united in marriage on August 24, 1981. He was then blessed with three other children, Angelique, Monique and Milan N. Baucham Jr. which they lovingly raised all together.
Willie was a family man, a loving husband, father, and grandfather who always demonstrated love, guidance, kindness, and compassion.
Upon his discharge from the Army, Willie became a Licensed Electrician after attending Trade Tech College. He then went for ADT Security Services where he retired for 40 years earning various awards and commendations by ADT.
Willie leaves to mourn in his passing, his devoted wife Paulette, their five children; Kelly Reed, Kimberly Reed, Angelique Smalley, Monique Bowen and Milan Baucham Jr., his two brothers; John and Ida Reed, nine grandchildren, Randall and Sacha Bowen, Amber and Ashleigh Smalley, Sophia and Alanna Baucham, Kelli, Brittan & Devon Reed, and Joshua Kennedy, his uncles; Douglas Ammor and Dr. William Laurence Young & Aunt Harriet, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, in-laws, other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
