Age 89 years, longtime resident of Riverside County. Entered Eternal Rest during the early evening hours of Monday, July 13, 2020, following declining health. He was born on January 13, 1931, in Escondido, California, the beloved son to his parents John and Roberta Casioce. As a young adult, John went on to proudly serve his Country by enlisting in the United States Army where he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal during Vietnam. Following his Honorable Discharge, he worked for Corona Water District and ROHR Company. He was a talented musician and played with heart. He joined several Mariachi Bands, but mostly loved to play for his family during gatherings. His favorite instrument was the violin, but he enjoyed playing the guitar, standing bass, xylophone, vihuela and guitarron. He went on to marry Lucille Aguilar, which preceded him in death. He was privileged to find love again with his wife Grace of 41 years. John is survived by his sons and daughters, Johnny (Rosemary); Mary Casioce; Richard (Mila); Steve (Sharon); Matthew (Melissa); Robert Casioce; Josie Curiel; Louie (Rachel) and preceded in death by daughters, Carolyn Casioce, Arlene Rojas and son Ramon Casioce. He is survived by his sister, Virginia “Kina” Esquivel. He had 86 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He will be forever missed.
Services will be held on Monday, August 3, 2020 at Connecting Point Church at 1018 S Main St. Corona, CA 92882. Due to the current health pandemic there will be limited seating and the family is asking this be an adult affair for the protection of our children. All must wear protective face coverings and practice social distancing.
Burial with full Military Honors will be held on Monday, August 10, 2020 at 10:45AM. Riverside National Cemetery.
