Dear Charlotte and Family: May the God of ‘everlasting comfort’ be with your family during this time of deep sorrow. (2 Thessalonians 2:16, 17) Losing a loved one is devastating. Comfort is found in the Bible at Isaiah 33:24. There is God’s promise to end sickness forever. ” And no resident will say: “I am sick.” …..” & Revelation 21:4. There is God’s promise to end the grieving process forever by eliminating death. ” And (Almighty God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more,….” Please remember death is an ‘enemy’ not a reward (1Corrinthians 15:26). Jesus Christ has been given authority over death (Matthew 28:18). And will raise our loved ones back to life on a paradise earth (John 5:28, 29; Acts 24:15;). Also remember Psalms 37:11, 29 which says: “The meek will possess the earth…and they will live forever upon it”. This is a beautiful hope for the future of our loved ones and us too. My deepest sympathy.
